Let’s not waste any time here…

1.) Planning Out Dinners

What do you want to eat? This is something that has become a part of our weekend. My wife and I take a few minutes to sit down and think about what we might want to eat for dinners the next week. We make our list of what we want, which then tells us what we need to get at the grocery store. Sunday mornings when the store is quiet, one of us hunts and scavenges for the items while the other stays home with the kiddos. The goods are brought home and we start our prep process.

What do you want to eat?! This can actually become a simple thing!

Mondays and Tuesdays are generally days we do not have much time to cook food, so we make sure we cook those meals in advance for those days. Wednesdays and Thursdays we have more time in the evening together, so we might fire up the grill or cook some fish on the stove. Fridays we might eat leftovers, but typically go out to eat as a family.
Benefits:

*The food is ready to go when we get home from work. We just have to heat it up and enjoy!

*We can spend more time as a family and with the kids.

*We are able to cook enough food so that we have extra for lunches throughout the week.

*It helps prevent binge eating food choices that aren’t so good for you.

*It helps us get the kids down to bed when it is their bed time.

*It creates more time for my wife to get home from work and get a workout in.

*It helps the weeknights go much smoother.

This weekend, try this out. Sit down and map out what meals you want to have for the week. Make the grocery list according to those meals. Bring home the goods and get to cooking up your food. Clean it all up, put it in the fridge, and then pat yourself on the back for a job well done!

2.) Pressure and Movement
